Nelson Atkins Museum of Art Wedding – Lauren and Ross – sneak peek trailer

Mar 2

This was one of those weddings when we fall so madly in love with the sweet couple and their family that we felt sad that the weekend was over and we wouldn’t get to hang out with them anymore. Lauren and Ross were so happy to be sharing this day with their family and friends that every single guest felt their genuine gratitude and love on this weekend. Love this sneak peek and can’t wait to get into this edit and share more!

Kansas City Wedding Venue Blog Series – The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art

May 24

It is no secret that I adore the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. This goes WAY back to my childhood taking classes in the summer and then continued as I completed my Master’s Thesis for Art Museum Education from KU working closely with the education department at the Nelson. I always figured I would somehow do work at this beautiful space, and although it has turned out to be a little bit different than I had imagined when I was studying for my Masters Degree, I really DO get to work in this beautiful space every year! What an amazing place to have a wedding. Kali and Adam love this iconic Kansas City space too and when they contacted me to film their wedding here I was beyond thrilled to help them. They were one of the first couples to have their wedding ceremony on the grounds of the Nelson and it was perfect! The reception in this beautiful space was stunning and their guests had a wonderful time!

Here is a little highlight featuring this amazing space and this sweet couple. Make sure you check out the interview below from the Event Planning Team over at the museum! This wedding is featured in the Summer 2017 issue of The Knot – so you will have to check that out on your newsstand.

Wedding Trailer – Kansas City Wedding – Nelson Atkins Museum of Art

Oct 18

So many things to love about this wedding! Kali and Adam had perfect Kansas City Fall day for an outdoor ceremony on the grand lawn of the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum with an intimate gathering of family and friends of this sweet couple. They incorporated so many personal touches from the shuttlecock placeholders, to the sweet family photos on the cake table in this historic and magnificent museum venue. I am going to make you wait to hear their sweet vows and see a stunning first look!
Congratulations Kali and Adam!

The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art Wedding – Katie and Philip – Sneak Peek Wedding Video

May 27

It is no secret that the Nelson-Atkins is my most favorite venue, pretty much anywhere. We are so lucky to have this amazing place in Kansas City. So I was beyond thrilled to get to help Katie and Philip celebrate their wedding day here this Spring. We had an amazing team to work with which made the day run so seamlessly, but the part that sticks out to me most are the sweet looks that this couple shared all day. Many times it seemed like they were the only two in the room and it was so clear that they felt this way too and were able to have so many sweet moments together.

Family Films are BACK! Baby Luke and Mom and Dad! Super8 Film

Jun 12

Oh boy – there is nothing like the sounds of baby babble. I really truly cherish this sound. I didn’t make enough videos of my own kids when they were little. At least I didn’t make “good” ones. I did the normal shaky handheld camcorder recordings and they are still amazing and precious, but I wish I had something like this with my husband and I actually interacting with our kids when they were tiny AND growing up. Take a minute to join Luke and his family for a few sweet moments this spring at The Nelson-Atkins. Sweet and simple moments like these are so fleeting. Everyone always told me that when the kids were little. I never believed them because the days felt so long. But they were right. It goes way too fast.
