When a groom toasts to his new wife at the reception? Oh yes, perfection! I love the look in Joe’s face as he is looking at Liz as he toasts her and thanks their guests on their wedding day. So much love is expressed here – and this first look? So sweet! The Grand Ballroom looks stunning thanks to Dan Meiner and his team – and that cookie table! WOW! The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art Wedding – Katie and Philip – Sneak Peek Wedding Video

It is no secret that the Nelson-Atkins is my most favorite venue, pretty much anywhere. We are so lucky to have this amazing place in Kansas City. So I was beyond thrilled to get to help Katie and Philip celebrate their wedding day here this Spring. We had an amazing team to work with which made the day run so seamlessly, but the part that sticks out to me most are the sweet looks that this couple shared all day. Many times it seemed like they were the only two in the room and it was so clear that they felt this way too and were able to have so many sweet moments together.

I think one of the things that made Monica and Vanndy’s wedding, was that they brought their “home” with them. Their officiant said it very well during the ceremony, he said he could look out in the audience and see their hometown. Everyone that they love and who loves them. I loved that. And I loved the officiant’s accent! Sorry, you don’t get to hear that too much here. You will have to ask Monica and Vanndy to watch their feature film in a few months. But I promise it is worth it – so is the rest of this beautiful day!

I always love coming out to Lawrence, Kansas for weddings. I used to visit every week when I was getting my Master’s degree and was actually quite surprised when I pulled up to the Oread Hotel on campus to realize that it was built right where my favorite sub shop and milkshake place used to be! The Oread is a beautiful new building that you would never know is new. Made entirely from stone, it is just stunning. The perfect location for Lara and KC’s platinum wedding reception. It was a beautiful day – thank you for letting me be a part of it!
