Introducing Family Films with a Fall Mini Session – October 24!

Oct 8

There is something about seeing a family in motion – hearing them interact together and listening to their voices. It is just like stopping time.
These are two very special families and I love every squeal and giggle, even every cry. You might recognize my talented photographer friend Adrienne, we have shot many beautiful weddings together. And of course one of my most favorite brides and grooms and their sweet little man have made many an appearance on my blog over the years. ๐Ÿ™‚

We are offering mini-film sessions in Kansas City in a few weeks – stay tuned for the sign up – they will go FAST! Please email (maura@creativefilmskc.com) to get on the calendar. Sessions will be $800 – special discount to former bridal and portrait clients! (we will not be offering super8 film during these mini-sessions)

The balcony is breathtaking and the entire space is the perfect backdrop for a stunning wedding or special event. Kim Ho from You’re Invited Wedding and Event Planning, Leigh Miller Photography and Erin Volante Floral put together the most amazing styled shoot at this brand new venue. AnneMarie and Patrick – Kansas City Wedding Video – Feature Wedding Film – Nelson Atkins Museum of Art & Our Lady of Sorrows

Mar 30

We haven’t featured a full wedding film on the blog in some time and as we prepare for a beautiful 2015 wedding season I wanted to share a few feature films from 2014 with you! So here is the first one! This was such a lovely wedding day at a couple of my favorite venues – Our Lady of Sorrows and the Nelson-Atkins Museum. But more than the beautiful locations, the thing I love about this wedding is the way these two look at each other.ย  Just watch them just light up when they are in each others eyes. Not to mention all the beautiful words that they said to each other and the words of their family telling their story. These are the reasons I love what I do and love to get to put together these beautiful little glimpses of a new family.

Stay tuned for a few more special feature films in the next couple weeks as we get excited about our 2015 wedding season – as well as a few fun things we did over the winter!

We do have a few weekends left on the 2015 wedding calendar – they won’t last long! If you are looking for a beautiful wedding video to be created in Kansas City, Midwest or destination wedding please shoot us an email! We look forward to so many beautiful wedding moments this year!

Sara and John – Lawrence Kansas Wedding Film

Oct 14

I had the pleasure of filming two wedding in Lawrence, KS two weeks in a row this summer and it was refreshing and fun to get back to this great little town. Just far away from KC to feel like I was somewhere different and great to get back to the town I earned my Master’s Degree in! Sara and John had their wedding on campus and we got to run around with the talented Jamie Miller Images shooting at several KU landmarks. Reception was full of celebration and fun – Sara and John had so many great details at their day, including many family wedding gowns displayed at the reception. You will see so many great smiles and lots of love in this short film – congratulations guys!
