Oh my goodness. This day was simply amazing. It was difficult to make a sneak peek for this wedding because I can’t share with you so much of their day! You will have to check back in a few months for the full film to see the knife dance, tap dancing, mariachi band and amazing party! I think the thing that makes this wedding so special is how much the families put into it and how each culture was so beautifully represented. Enjoy the sneak peek, and come back for the film soon!

Cade – Birth Film
This was maybe the most amazing and beautiful thing I have had the honor to film, a birth. I have only been present for my own births of my two babies and honestly, they were a little bit tricky, so this was particularly amazing as it was the first birth I have really ever witnessed. Cade’s daddy was in Afghanistan fighting the war on the day he was born, but was able to be there via skype and phone. You will hear his voice throughout the film and see the little camera on the tripod facing Elizabeth. They chose to birth this baby at home in water, and the amount of support Elizabeth had that day was simply beautiful. There are really few words that can be said for this story, you really just have to watch. Congratulations Elizabeth and Jeremy, and welcome home.
Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
I am a bit behind on posting this – Kansas City had the most amazing weekend a few weeks back with the opening of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. I don’t think these few images do it justice, but I don’t have a little film to show you, so this will have to do. I was so excited and honored to be asked to film this weekend and just so proud of Kansas City and how our community has embraced and supported the arts and this new facility. Both nights of the opening festivities were just mind-blowing and beautiful. The performances were AMAZING and the staff and guests were all at their very best. I think the public opening on Sunday was really what was so impressive though. Each theater had non-stop performances, and there were four stages set up outside to entertain those waiting in a very long line to get in. Mrs. Kauffman stood a the entrance and shook everyone’s hand as they came up the steps as a welcome to the Center. The entire weekend was top-notch and we are so lucky to have this beautiful building and amazing opportunity to participate and enjoy all the art that will be coming here in years to come!
Sara and John – Lawrence Kansas Wedding Film
I had the pleasure of filming two wedding in Lawrence, KS two weeks in a row this summer and it was refreshing and fun to get back to this great little town. Just far away from KC to feel like I was somewhere different and great to get back to the town I earned my Master’s Degree in! Sara and John had their wedding on campus and we got to run around with the talented Jamie Miller Images shooting at several KU landmarks. Reception was full of celebration and fun – Sara and John had so many great details at their day, including many family wedding gowns displayed at the reception. You will see so many great smiles and lots of love in this short film – congratulations guys!

Annie and Dwayne – Wedding Film, Excelsior Springs, MO
Annie and Dwayne got married on the most beautiful fall day at the historic Elms Hotel Chapel in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. This is a special place to them and it was a pleasure to get to film here before they go through a MAJOR renovation. They had so many personal details and little spots of beauty that I just had a BLAST capturing all of it. Annie’s son was adorable and watching this new family celebrate was such a joy. I can’t wait to create your short film!
Enjoy your sneak peek!
