We want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Peaceful Solstice, and Happy New Year! It has been a busy year for us as a family and a wonderful year with many amazing corporate and bridal clients. We are so thankful to have you in our lives and can’t wait to see what 2015 holds! Not to mention what kind of crazy things I will be able to talk my family into doing in Christmas Hats next year.
Merry Christmas from Kansas City!
We started making Christmas videos last year instead of Christmas cards and had so much fun it has sort of turned into something of a tradition. My family is used to me bringing Santa Hats all over the place and will break into Carols all times of the year! Hope you all have a Happy Holiday and we are super excited about a wonderful 2014!
Here is my little family in Santa Hats!

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Survivor Stories
About once a year I get to create a special film for a cause that is meaningful to me – gratis. Sometimes I find the organization and sometimes they find me. It feels so good to be able to make some kind of contribution and give back somehow to organizations and people in my community. This time they found me. Most of us have been touched by cancer in some way, I lost my Dad to lung cancer six years ago and know quite a few who have fought Leukemia and Lymphoma. When Heather called me with this project, I knew I had to do it. We created these two films to share at the 25th Anniversary Ball to raise money for research for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. So much is happening with new drugs and treatments and it is making a difference in so many lives. They raised over one MILLION dollars on Saturday night.
I am so proud to help share the voices of some of the survivors who are alive because of the research being done in Kansas City. Each of them has such an amazing story to tell and are such strong and beautiful individuals.

Time for some photography!
Well, I may have gotten a little bit behind with my blogging, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been CRAZY busy around here! I have so many sweet babies to blog and I don’t really want to lump them all into one post. So get ready for a fun week of blogged babies!
Today we will start with a special little one. My new niece Zia. I am madly in love and so happy for her big brother Ray and beautiful Momma and Daddy. Such a lucky girl. We had a little session a few weeks ago and I love that she was wearing a special little dress that belonged to her Momma and that the cozy backdrop in this other image is her Grandma’s robe! LOVE.
Brand new website and blog for Creative Films & an incredible achievement.
I am so excited to introduce my new website! We have combined all the sections of my business into one complete website. Now you can come to Creativefilmskc.com and learn about our wedding films, corporate work, and baby and family photography. Our blog is here too! I haven’t quite figured out what to do with the Facebook pages yet, but that will come.
NOW, what is a video of a skydive doing here? This is a pretty cool story of my father-in-law who decided to go skydiving for his 70th birthday! AMAZING. It was so inspiring to get to watch him do this, although I have to admit, I wasn’t completely supportive when he first started talking about it. I guess I am a little protective. He did wonderfully, and loved the experience and we were so glad that we were able to be there to support him. I had a blast creating this little “home-video” for him – a big thank you to Jeff the skydiving cameraman as I wasn’t going up to film this one. 🙂
