Oh my heart. And these sweet voices! What a gift to be invited to welcome this sweet soul to this beautiful family. Even better, is having the experience of knowing this family from the VERY START! I filmed Mike and Crystal’s wedding years ago, then sweet Savannah’s first year, as well as John! To say I was THRILLED when Crystal contacted me to make a little film of welcoming Luke to his new family is an understatement. What I wouldn’t give to have something like this of my babies when they were little. With me in it!! There is just something about the movement, and the voices of both the little ones and Mom and Dad that is just priceless. Even the bit of chaos and busyness of the kids is beautiful. I have a special family here to share. It is always amazing to get to do newborn portraits for my former bridal clients, but even more special when they are family. And even MORE special when I remember seeing the daddy of the baby when he was brand new. Feeling a little “mature” here, but more than that, just really happy for my cousin and his wife. Congratulations on your new little man – he is perfect!

It is that time of year when I get to see so many families that I have known from the very beginning! I love love love to get to photograph my former bride’s and groom’s growing families. So many of them have become such dear friends and it is just a joy to get to see them at such special moments of their lives. Big bro Issac was so happy to introduce me to his new baby Alex – well, it wasn’t really a formal introduction, but he was super sweet and let me get a shot of him snuggling his little bro. That was all it took to make me happy! Congratulations sweet family and I can’t wait to watch sweet Alex grow up too!

Well, I may have gotten a little bit behind with my blogging, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been CRAZY busy around here! I have so many sweet babies to blog and I don’t really want to lump them all into one post. So get ready for a fun week of blogged babies!
Today we will start with a special little one. My new niece Zia. I am madly in love and so happy for her big brother Ray and beautiful Momma and Daddy. Such a lucky girl. We had a little session a few weeks ago and I love that she was wearing a special little dress that belonged to her Momma and that the cozy backdrop in this other image is her Grandma’s robe! LOVE.
