I am so proud of this piece that came out of the most fantastic workshop I had the honor to participate in a couple weeks ago. Professional event filmmakers and photographers from around the world came together for POSH 2010, an educational workshop and retreat for women. Inspired by our shared experiences in an industry dominated by males, we spontaneously decided to use our creative gifts to craft a short film illustrating the positive power and passion of women in the film industry. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to collaborate with such amazing people and very excited to share this piece. Now go out and make something!
Shot on location at POSH 2010, “We Create” was directed by Maura Coleman-Murray and Kara Jensen, filmed by Maribeth Ratajczyk and Luiza Perkowska, and edited by Meg Simone. All 42 POSH 2010 attendees collaborated on the piece.
I am so excited to share this film with you! This is just such a great example of how film and video can tell the story of the wedding day in the most unique way. Katie and Danny have the most beautiful story of their meeting and courtship. Take a minute. Take a minute to watch it – I am sure you will be as moved as I was. Well we EARNED this great session didn’t we! It has been a beautiful fall in Kansas City, but our first session was rained out and this one came SO CLOSE! You certainly can’t tell from looking at these images tho. We had a beautiful sunny afternoon and the park to ourselves! What a fun family – these guys were just great – thanks for hanging in there with the rain!
What a fun downtown shoot! We had the whole family out this afternoon including the sweetest puppy EVER! I think the thing I liked most about this shoot was how great these guys played together. Thanks guys for spending the afternoon with me!
