Katie Dilse – Amazing Lady and Keynote Speaker – Promotional Video

I really do think some things happen for a reason. My experience with Katie Dilse is a perfect example of this. Katie called me one day this winter in something of a panic as she was traveling to Kansas City from North Dakota to give a Keynote speech to an amazing group of women at the 2013 US Custom Harvesters National Convention. Her videographer had flaked out and she needed someone to film her keynote. I was in the studio, answered the phone, and was available THE VERY NEXT DAY to film her! We clicked immediately and I was truly moved by her speech and had the most wonderful time creating a promotional video for her. She has a wonderful message and I know there are many different groups across the country that would benefit from hearing her! Check out her video below and make sure to go to her website and blog. This was the perfect day. Mallory and Casey had so many personal touches that they brought to their wedding day and so many special family and friends there to celebrate with them. It was just perfect. I absolutely LOVED the spring flowers that fit so perfectly at the Hobbs Building and just a simple beauty that matched Mallory and Casey so well. From the intimate words spoken by the Pastor from Sabetha, KS, to the super fun Motown band The Goodfoot – it was just an amazing day.

This is one of those weddings where I was so happy to get to be part of the rehearsal dinner and capture some amazing family and friends toasting the couple. I loved how Megan and Tim’s dads told the story of how their families have come together. One speech from the rehearsal dinner and one from the reception. Such an amazing story and I am SO GLAD they have it now recorded forever! It was a JOY to work with the super creative Parson’s and Kelley Ruf Coordinating. I don’t think Indian Hills Country Club has ever looked prettier! Not to mention that everyone danced their socks off to Karen Davis Project – you will just have to watch to see!

The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society – Survivor Stories

About once a year I get to create a special film for a cause that is meaningful to me – gratis. Sometimes I find the organization and sometimes they find me. It feels so good to be able to make some kind of contribution and give back somehow to organizations and people in my community. This time they found me. Most of us have been touched by cancer in some way, I lost my Dad to lung cancer six years ago and know quite a few who have fought Leukemia and Lymphoma. When Heather called me with this project, I knew I had to do it. We created these two films to share at the 25th Anniversary Ball to raise money for research for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. So much is happening with new drugs and treatments and it is making a difference in so many lives. They raised over one MILLION dollars on Saturday night.

I am so proud to help share the voices of some of the survivors who are alive because of the research being done in Kansas City. Each of them has such an amazing story to tell and are such strong and beautiful individuals.
