POSH Filmmakers Retreat – 2011

Well, I have fallen behind on blogging. This has been one of the busiest fall seasons I have had, and I am grateful. We are close to finishing up the 2011 wedding film season with one more wedding right before New Years and have a couple more portraits on the calendar. I have so many blog posts to share with you and wonderful families to introduce you to!

But today I am going to share my latest POSH retreat with you. I was lucky enough to get to travel to Mexico a couple weeks ago with an amazing group of women filmmakers and business owners. This is my second year to participate in POSH and I came away just as inspired and renewed as the first time! Mexico was gorgeous and I was so excited to get to explore that country a tiny bit, but the new relationships and connections and inspiration that I took home with me is so valuable.

I will share with you the film we created last year at POSH, and a little shot I took from the balcony in my room – see you next year ladies!


 

 

Mikaeya and Arshia – Kansas City Wedding Film – sneak peek

Oh my goodness. This day was simply amazing. It was difficult to make a sneak peek for this wedding because I can’t share with you so much of their day! You will have to check back in a few months for the full film to see the knife dance, tap dancing, mariachi band and amazing party! I think the thing that makes this wedding so special is how much the families put into it and how each culture was so beautifully represented. Enjoy the sneak peek, and come back for the film soon!

Annie and Dwayne – Wedding Film, Excelsior Springs, MO

Annie and Dwayne got married on the most beautiful fall day at the historic Elms Hotel Chapel in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. This is a special place to them and it was a pleasure to get to film here before they go through a MAJOR renovation. They had so many personal details and little spots of beauty that I just had a BLAST capturing all of it. Annie’s son was adorable and watching this new family celebrate was such a joy. I can’t wait to create your short film!

Happy Easter – or Spring! Chick Pics!

I have been saving these mostly because I can’t for the life of me figure out which ones to post. I LOVE them ALL! We had the best time in the studio the other day with the baby chicks and ducks. Yes, we added ducks this year and I think they might be the most popular animal by far. We might just have ducks alone next year. My kids had a wonderful time all week with baby chicks living in the downstairs bathroom, and I am happy to report that neither dog had any as a snack. They have a new home this year, my sister in law took them to a friends farm, so we are hoping to get out there and visit those adorable ducks, Cole and Harry sometime this summer.
