Celebrating in your own backyard under the most beautiful sky and dancing with your love. These two came to Kansas City from their home in New York to celebrate their wedding at Ashley’s home and it was spectacular. They managed to dodge the rain until the end of the night and made the most of every minute on this beautiful day.

I have always said what a treat and honor it is to be asked back to film a sibling or cousin of a former bride and groom, but this one might just beat out all the warm fuzzies for all time. I have known Maureen since she was in high school and babysat my kids when they were little! We have loved her for YEARS! I think this may have been one of the most beautiful outdoor wedding ceremonies we have filmed to date – the structure that was created for Katie and Joe’s ceremony was just breathtaking. And then when the guests entered the reception at Indian Hills Country Club they were wowed AGAIN! Just amazing work from Studio Dan Meiners and his team. But what I loved the most about this day were all the beautiful words spoken to and about these two sweet people. So much love and joy surrounding them on their wedding day.
