Introducing Family Films with a Fall Mini Session – October 24!

There is something about seeing a family in motion – hearing them interact together and listening to their voices. It is just like stopping time.
These are two very special families and I love every squeal and giggle, even every cry. You might recognize my talented photographer friend Adrienne, we have shot many beautiful weddings together. And of course one of my most favorite brides and grooms and their sweet little man have made many an appearance on my blog over the years. 🙂

We are offering mini-film sessions in Kansas City in a few weeks – stay tuned for the sign up – they will go FAST! Please email (maura@creativefilmskc.com) to get on the calendar. Sessions will be $800 – special discount to former bridal and portrait clients! (we will not be offering super8 film during these mini-sessions)

Babies, Kids and DUCKS!

Its that time of year again when my OWN kids ask, “when are we getting the DUCKS?”. How can I say no? They will be visiting next week!

Luke – 6 months

Ahhh, this little guy. I’ve loved this family forever and filmed his Mom and Dad’s wedding. Just love all his sweet smiles and personality. I really do have the very best job. I can’t wait to see how cute you are next time I see you as a walking baby Luke!

Spring Ducks and Babies – Kansas City Child Photography

This has become quite the annual event for us – Spring Ducks and Babies! I think this might be our 5th year doing these mini-sessions and we have SO MANY families who come back! I honestly think out of the 13 families I saw over the weekend, there was only one new one! This is the reason I do them year after year. Yes, the ducks are cute, but getting to see former bridal clients bring their babies in and special portrait clients come in year after year is really amazing. The ducks will go to their permanent home tomorrow, a friend with some land and a pond not too far away. We spent the evening playing with them at my house today – my kids will miss them and their ducky adventures. I am mostly happy to get my downstairs bathroom back!

So excited to share this new website update that Coach Rut just launched for the amazing Bootcamp Fitness! We are proud to have produced all the photos AND video on this website. This is the very first AND BEST crossfit and bootcamp gym in Kansas City, and if you are thinking about starting a bootcamp or crossfit workout, you can just stop looking and come here. I have been working out here for over three years and love it! It prepares me for my summer triathlons and keeps me fit all year. So happy that Rut asked us to update his photos – the video is still one of my most favorites! One of the things I love about this promotional video is how the energy and movement tells the story of what happens in this gym.
