This is one of those weddings where I was so happy to get to be part of the rehearsal dinner and capture some amazing family and friends toasting the couple. I loved how Megan and Tim’s dads told the story of how their families have come together. One speech from the rehearsal dinner and one from the reception. Such an amazing story and I am SO GLAD they have it now recorded forever! It was a JOY to work with the super creative Parson’s and Kelley Ruf Coordinating. I don’t think Indian Hills Country Club has ever looked prettier! Not to mention that everyone danced their socks off to Karen Davis Project – you will just have to watch to see!

Melissa and Michael had a beautiful wedding the weekend of New Year’s and finished out 2012 in the most amazing way. So many family and friends came to celebrate with them in Kansas City. I think it was the best I have seen the Intercontinental Hotel, and definitely the most beautiful huppah thanks to Dan Meiners and his crew. A ceremony in the round is a beautiful thing for every guest, and I love that Melissa and Michael could see so many of their guests during their ceremony. Congratulations Melissa and Michael! I can’t wait to edit your feature film!

Anne and Ryan – Kansas City Wedding Videography – Sneak Peek

I intended to post this yesterday for Father’s Day, but we got busy celebrating with our family and it just didn’t happen. I am admittedly a complete softy for Daughters and Daddies. Could be because I watch my own young daughter love her Daddy so much, or I reflect upon the relationship I had with my late Dad – whatever the reason the Daddy/Daughter thing is what, after 10 years of making wedding films, can bring me to tears in 2 seconds flat. This moment is here in Anne and Ryan’s sneak peek. The look on Anne’s Dad’s face as they get to the end of the aisle together and she is looking upon her new husband with such love it just amazing. Thank you Anne and Ryan for letting me be a part of your day, It was a lovely way for my husband and I to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary too. – I can’t wait to edit the rest of your wedding film! Katie and John – Kansas City Wedding Video – Highlight Film

Katie and John had a beautiful fall day to celebrate their wedding. The weekend started with a lovely rehearsal dinner at one of my favorite locations, the Boulevard Brewery in Kansas City. Such a great place to start a weekend of family and friends coming together. The wedding was at Country Club Christian Church, one of my favorite shots was the sweet flower girls making their way down the isle to John. After a beautiful ceremony they all headed over to the InterContinental and the Michael Beers Band kicked off a wonderful party. Holly and the team from Simple Elegance kept everything running like clockwork and every detail was perfect! It was a spectacular day and I was honored to be a part of it. Katie and Dave – Kansas City Wedding – short film

Yes, I smiled through this edit! So fun, so beautiful, and SO FUN! The chemistry these two have is amazing – just watch how he looks at her and how she smiles at him – pure heaven! These guys LOVE their music and it was hilarious to see the LIST they sent for me to edit with. I’ve got lots of new tracks to work with for future films now too! It is clear these two have spent some time belting out some tunes together and with friends – check out those high kicks too! So many personal details in this wedding, from the cake with special memories, the tribute to their beloved dogs, to the joy seen on everyone’s faces as Katie and Dave enjoy singing and dancing to their rockin band, it was purely a night of celebrating Katie and Dave and their new life together. Thank you guys for letting me be a part of it! Can’t wait for sister #3 next summer!
