There is something so special about a wedding at home. Getting ready in the room you grew up in surrounded by your family and friends. Celebrating in your own backyard under the most beautiful sky and dancing with your love. These two came to Kansas City from their home in New York to celebrate their wedding at Ashley’s home and it was spectacular. They managed to dodge the rain until the end of the night and made the most of every minute on this beautiful day.

Colorado Wedding Video – Bachelor Gulch, Vail, Colorado – sneak peek trailer and slowmotion video
It is not very often that I put two wedding videos into one post, but this one is special. It is always the biggest honor to get to come back to a family and film a sibling’s wedding. This family is so special to take us with them to their last daughter’s wedding in Vail, Colorado! Mary and Jake had a beautiful weekend surrounded by family and friends in one of the most beautiful settings in the world! They didn’t even let a surprise pop-up rain storm slow down their ceremony. They just got out the umbrellas, guests covered up with towels and we all continued celebrating with them. Their smiles never wavered and they were married in the end! You will have to wait to see the actual rain for a future video – this one was just too full of other beautiful moments to include rain! We have an extra big treat for you – because here you will find both Mary and Jake’s sneak peek trailer, but also the most wonderful and ridiculously fun Slowmotion Video Booth Ever!

Kansas City Corporate Video – Telly Awards – we got two!
Well, this is always fun! We have been so crazy busy this summer with so much work that we haven’t had time to celebrate some pretty awesome accolades from work we did this past year! Creative Films earned two new Telly Awards for two very different projects for 2017! Telly Awards are a national award recognizing outstanding productions in the film and video industry.
This years winners were so very different and I think this illustrates why I love what I do so very much! The first video was a promotional piece I created for a local artist and jeweler. Kelly with MeritMade is amazing and talented and offers classes in her studio to artists and non-artists and needed a video to really show what it is they learn and make in her class. This was a super fun project and I HIGHLY recommend her class to anyone wanting to do something new and fun or someone who might want to get into making jewelry. It would make for an amazing gift too! 🙂
The second winning video is completely different! We were approached by Jet.com to help them make a video for an internal event celebrating the culture and energy that makes this place a special place to work. We had a great time learning about the warehouse and the people who make Jet.com such a unique place to work and grow. We have done several more projects with Jet since this one, and look forward to a long partnership!
So much of the work on this blog is weddings, and we do LOVE weddings, but as you see we produce a whole lot more! Proud to add a few more of these Telly Awards to our shelf and look forward to more unique projects to come!
